Case Studies
Landfill (Class A) Fire - Mexico
Fire Terminator was called to respond to a landfill fire in Mexico. While foams are traditionally used to form a blanket layer in order to suffocate the fuel to extinguish a Class A fire, the challenge in this situation was that while the layer of foam sat on the top of the surface, meantime the trash was raging a foot below the surface unaffected where ample air existed in the numerous gaps.
Being a denser liquid, our Fire Terminator solution was able to flow into the gaps ,being pulled down by gravity and put out the fires below the surface of the landfill and stop further fires from starting or restarting.
Peatland Fires - Indonesia
Fire Terminator’s inventor Dr Judah Jay has donated more than 50,000 litres of our unique concentrate to help fight the Indonesian peatland fires. With a 2% solution to water dilution ratio, they were able to make 2.5 million litres of extinguishing power- sufficient to cover 2.5 million square metres of land.
Partnering with the Indonesian Air Force, they successfully helped the territories of Jambi, Riau and Palembang extinguish the wildfires and mitigate future peatland fires with Fire Terminator solution available at their disposal.
Car Fires
A car has multiple components that pose different fire challenges. Fire from the fuel tank (Class B Fire) should not be extinguished with water (which may spread the fire further). While fire from electrical equipment in the car (Class C, D fires) should not be put out by water too.
Unfortunately current Class B fire fighting products are hydrocarbon based foams which are toxic and contaminate the surrounding ground and rivers. These foams are also high maintenance as they could gum up and jam the tanks and fire hoses if not regularly cleaned and maintained.
With Fire Terminator, one solution can take down all types of fires, while staying safe for the firefighters and environment and is easy on the equipment with little maintenance needed.
